ASHGROVE PARK RESIDENTS CONTINUE TO SUFFER!

The abandoned Adria site continues to play host to serious anti social behaviour. Last night Residents were once again woken by a blaze which was started just a few feet away from their properties.

SDLP Constituency Representative Mr Daniel McCrossan said, “The group causing these problems are a very small minority with little more on their minds than causing problems in various residential areas and to the authorities affected with criminal offences such as these. As a society we will not tolerate further disturbances nor will we tolerate the wastage of the fire service or police on issues which can be avoided. This group needs to get a grip before someone is seriously injured.

Sh. Cllr Patrick Leonard also condemned the attack, Mr Leonard said’ “The fire at the former Adria site, was a nuisance for the residents of Ashgrove Park, and the surrounding areas. I think that the Strabane District Council should do more to ensure that the public know how much of a fire hazard that the site is. Also, NIEA, along with the Site Owner, and the Council should do all in their power to ensure that the site is safe and secure in the future.”
