PROGRESS WELCOMED ON GARVIN PARK (GLEBE)

GARVIN PARK RESIDENTS FINALLY SEE PROGRESS.

In recent weeks your local SDLP team have been contacted regarding a number of issues in the residential area of Garvin Park, Glebe, Sion Mills, Strabane.

Garvin Park is currently un-adopted.  However, the SDLP are currently lobbying with the Developers, Road Service, Private streets section, Northern Ireland Water and other relevant authorities to ensure a process of development and adoption occurs in the very near future.

In the meantime until the adoption is secured our team felt that some resolve was needed for the residents in terms of refuse collection from the entrance of their homes. For over ten years residents have had to take their bins to the entry of the estate for collection.

Joe Byrne MLA said; we have now managed to provide the necessary documentation to the council in order for the bins to be collected at the end of residential driveways. Following the continuous hard work and dedication by our team in providing a strong and reliable public service, we are pleased to inform all residents that this particular issue has now been taken care of thanks to the developer who has co-operated entirely in the interests of all residents.

Constituency Representative Daniel McCrossan said; bins will now be collected within the site in the next week.  Calls have been made to various other authorities in relation to the other outstanding issues. We hope to provide an update of the progress of the situation in due course.”
