SDLP SURVEY PROVES A HUGE SUCCESS!!

The SDLP’s Constituency Representative Daniel McCrossan has welcomed the high levels of calls and visits to the SDLP office on Butcher Street, following the SDLP door to door survey, currently being carried out in the Strabane Area.

Mr McCrossan said “Our office has been overwhelmed by the levels of positive feedback which we are receiving following our survey of the Strabane area. Our SDLP Community Team decided that rather than waiting for constituents to bring their local issues to us, we should instead reach out to our constituents, offering an ear to listen and a hand for help. We felt that by carrying out this survey that it would show Strabane and the wider district that the SDLP do care about the needs of our people, and are here again to offer help wherever and whenever it is required.”

“Through the feedback we have received from our investigations, we have realised that there is a diverse range of significant issues and concerns throughout the entire district which require our full attentions in order to solve the needs of those in need. We have received minor issues ranging from grass verges, street lighting, street cleaning and dog fouling and also much more pressing issues such as welfare cuts, housing, planning etc. The SDLP Team and I are focused on working through each case individually, with a determined attitude, seeking resolve where possible.

“Following 80% completion of the Strabane area it is evident that our Strabane people need help and advice now more than ever. The SDLP Team are dedicated in providing a strong and reliable public service to meet the needs of those who are struggling or quite simply need a little help or advice. We strive to provide a system which will deliver for the people of this district.”
